Heath Ledger found deceased

It's with great sadness that I must report that Heath Ledger has been found dead in his apartment in Manhattan. It is being reported that the actor was found with pills around his body at around eight thirty this evening, the incident is being looked at as a possible suicide.

The Australian actor at just twenty eight years old leaves his daughter Matilda who is just two. All our thoughts here at Climbing Shrimp Productions go out to his family and friends at this terrible time.

But lets try and remember some of the great performances this actor gave us in his all too short career.

For many of us we first saw Heath in Ten Things I hate about You, hardly a classic role, but entertaining enough. Shortly after that he helmed his first major movie, A Knights Tale, followed some years later by a movie I really enjoyed,Lords of Dogtown. He quickly followed that with some genre fair in the guise of The Brothers Grim. But it was with Brokeback Mountain that he exploded into the big time, with an Oscar nomination coupled with fan and critical acclaim across the board.

But perhaps the greatest thing this man did for anything cult was his re-imagining of the Joker in The Dark Knight. While I only have the trailer to go on for that remark, I think it's fair to say that what he had put in the can for that will surely light up the silver screen.

A great young talent who worked quiet sparingly, lost to us far to young and seemingly at just the start of a wonderful career. Heath, you will be missed.
