So, who would be the best people to make Marvel collectables?

That would be Kotobukiya, that's who.

If you do not know who these guys, head over to there site now! I am lucky enough to own a couple of items bye these guys, an awesome Master Chief and a Scout Trooper and I can personally vouch for them. They are easily some of the best quality collectables that I own, they look amazing and the detail is just out of this world.

So the announcement that has just hit the net from out friends at IGN is that these guys have now got the license to make Marvel stuff! This agreement is world wide, multi year and includes the entire marvel back catalogue and movies, past and present.

There will be seven different product lines, including there signature line, the awesome ARTFX products which includes the two items I mentioned before. The first items to emerge will be collectables related to the massive Marvel movies of 08, Iron Man (ed-oh god yes) and The Incredible Hulk.

"We are excited to work with Kotobukiya as a première collectible partner, and we are confident that their talented designers will bring a new, fresh perspective to our characters. Our comics feature the most recognizable characters in the world, and that matches up well with Kotobukiya's international style and commitment to quality," said Joe Quesada, Marvel Editor-in-Chief.

Expect to see more later in the month as details are released during the American International Toy Fair (17-20 Feb).
